As close as you get to the sea

REGION | ALBERA MASSIF

You are sure to love hiking through the Albera Massif from Hôtel Beau Rivage.

In the Pyrénées-Orientales, the mountains and the sea co-exist alongside one another. The massif is a key part of the area’s tourist offering, allowing visitors to get away from it all in the mountain calm as well as the cooling freshness of the Mediterranean! The Albera Massif is a mountain range overlooking the town of Argelès-sur-Mer.

Hikes promise exceptional views of impressively varied countryside. Some peaks are over 1000 metres high. Enjoy a restorative night’s sleep and a full breakfast at Hôtel Beau Rivage before setting off to discover the mountain range on foot or by bike via different trails, of which there are a range to suit different abilities.

There are a range of villages at the foot of the Albera Massif, such as Sorède and Villelongue dels Monts, but the main and most famous village is Le Boulou, considered the Albera’s capital. There are plenty of artisan products and products made using local vegetation available to buy.
